Surfin' the City
Surf City, NC launched a new public art initiative called Surfin' the City, where local businesses can partner with an artist and sponsor a surfboard sculpture to paint. I was honored when Coastal Home Store reached out and asked me to paint the surfboard that is now on display in front of their store.

I collaborated with Jill Clark, owner and lead stylist at Coastal Home Store, on the design concept for our surfboard. For the front of the board, we wanted to highlight the natural beauty of the marshes and recognize our local military community. The back of the surfboard is a nod to the old wooden boards that were the start of surf culture, a part of Surf City's roots.
This was a fun project to take on! If you're in the Surf City area, I hope you'll stop by to see our surfboard!
